Wahoo!

The essay is finished!!

Mum is reading over it now, so will get her feedback soon, but I can't be in the same room as someone when they are looking at my writings.

Ok, I can be the same room, but I feel like I'm being judged, which makes me uncomfortable.

But none the less,

1 + 1 = 3??

So today I spoke to the mathematics department and handed in my university regestration.

I had a problem.

To get into California I need to do statistics and calculus. Problem.

I did Stat115 in healthsci., so thats half the problem solved.

However this year I did Quan102, which doesn't count as a Calc paper., so that is a problem.

But...

"No problem", I thought, " I'll just do a math paper"

Well, Math170 needed Math160 as a prerequisit. Problem.

"No problem", I thought, " I'll just do math160"

Well, Math160 has Quan102 as a restriction. Problem.

So I was back where I started, nowhere.

Lucking I can get the Math170 prerequist waived, so there is no problem at all really.

So I'm meant to be sitting here writing a two page, double spaced, size twelve font letter to the EAP (Eduaction Abroad Program) admissions office in Califonia telling them why I love Berkely, why I love economics, and why I would love to study economics at Berkely.

Thats what I'm meant to be doing.

Instead, while I sit here and wait for my lunch to cook, I am doing nothing except watching episodes of 'Invader Zim' that Mark has downloaded.

Are you STILL playing your OLD ugly Game Slave 1? WHY?! WHATS WRONG WITH YOU??! HAVE WE OFFENDED YOU SOMEHOW?! HUH?! HUH?! HUH?!

People think I'm crazy

At the moment I am sitting at work.

Periodically I will laugh aloud to myself. I think that everyone here thinks I'm crazy.

The reason is that I am reading Catch 22.

My Birthday So Far

For my birthday, I got exactly what I wanted, which isn't that surprising considering I selected my own presents.

I decided this year I would get something different, and so have received a small collection of books, including-

Also, got the forms for the US today to begin filling out. yay.

Choir money

Today was spent buying presents (clothes, toys, books) for the children we raised the money for.

much fun! :-)

The Choir concert

Yesterday the choir perfomed its annual fund raising conert.

Even though we stuffed up several times (wrong pitching, missing entries, trouble with the piano etc.), the audience didn't seem to notice (my brother says it's because he was blocking his ears). It always seems like such an anti climax when we put in so many hours of rehersal and it all comes down to just one concert. After the concert was the afterparty.

For the first time in a long time I drank, and woke up this morning feeling, well, not so good. Mark made pancakes for breakfast but so far I've ony been able to stomach a couple. The party was held at Siobhans and most people seemed to have a good time.
